I love the design of this stylish guy. Also i really like the idea of an antagonist who is so used to murder that he politely gives his victims time to escape. He will get them despite all the effort and time they used. He knows that. I think he might even resemble the death itself - inevitable and emotionless. Long story short - i love that character and i can write a ton about him haha!
Now about the technical part - this time i chose looks over optimization and it was the best idea i had. Its not like its not optimized - its just 35K polys insted of 10K like i used to do. I have achieved that with some parts being just autoretopped through ZRemesher, also i was not retopping big amounts of objects into one, so it gave me an opportunity to have more freedom in rigging and texturing, let alone the time it took for retopology was greatly decreased - about 5 hrs total for the whole character. Of course, retopology of the most important and visible parts was done with my hand.
To be honest - this render reminds me of my Plain Doll printable that is also on my Artstation and i like that, but this time its also very much optimized for the things you need. I think i just got a one step closer to my final goal in terms of looks and optimization in balance.
